As far as sequels go, this one knocked all my expectations out of the park. I thought it was so interesting to continue in this world and I thought there was so much growth from book one to book two. I thought there was so much action and I had so many questions in the best way. I was on the edge of my seat reading and wanted to protect all the good ones. I loved how Mercy and Alex's relationship grew and I really liked how each character played their role. I also thought the Jewish elements were really interesting and prominent in this book. The information wasn't as heavy as it was in book one, but it still had importance in moving the story along. The writing pulled me in and Leigh always knows how to tell a story. It was so immersive and so many things were happening and I can't believe we got left on another cliffhanger, but there was so much revealed and I loved it. It was a fantastic book and I can only imagine what kind of stuff will go down in the next installment!
