I thoroughly LOVED Girls of Paper and Fire and I thoroughly found the sequel just okay.
I still like also as a main character but this book was (1) highly predictable (2) slow and (3) felt like it was just fluff? I think a lot of the main points could have been put into the third book and this would have been better as a duology. Even after the cliffhanger of this book I’m really debating reading the third book. I think I can already guess the major plot points of it which makes it less enticing.
I want to see more from Natasha Ngan, I think she’s talented and I like the stories and ideas, but this book was just so-so and didn’t add a lot to this world for me.
