Omg, I ate this UP! It's so good that it just knocked Happy Place out of the #1 spot in my ranking of Emily Henry books.
This made me laugh out loud so many times I lost count and it was also so emotionally engaging on so many levels. Not only are the main characters wonderful, but the secondary characters are just as interesting. I loved the romance, the friendships, and the drama.
Miles has my heart, he's everything I want in a man, and he's funny as hell. Daphne is a wonderful person and I was so proud of her breakthroughs that I got teary-eyed. They were just delightful to get to know and I loved the way their relationship progressed.
I enjoyed the conflicts because they felt grounded in reality and made sense with what I knew about the characters. I even enjoyed the third act kind of breakup because it made perfect sense and it was executed very well.
Overall, this book made me really happy to get through and I don't have a single bad thing to say at the moment. The narrator, Julia Whelan, deserves a fucking bonus. She did a wonderful job at bringing these characters and this story to life. I absolutely loved her narration, I highly recommend the audiobook.
