I had been seeing this book everywhere and I knew I had to join in on the hype. I can't believe this was a debut. This book honestly gave me a bit of an adult "The Summer I Turned Pretty" vibe and I'm not upset by that at all because I adored those books. There was something so simple yet complex about this book and I loved it so much. Sam and Percy were great main characters and their love story had me swooning, crying and generally feeling all the warm and fuzzies. I loved the small town setting. I loved the summer flashbacks for each of the years they knew each other and alternating of the present timeline as well. This book seriously just felt like a much needed hug and it was a great read.
