Holy shit this was good. I've loved everything Tiffany D Jackson has written and finally got around to reading her debut novel. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors I think.
Def a book on heavy topics and the ending was not what I was expecting (in an interesting way). Mary and her mother are complex people and following Mary kept me invested. I needed to know what would happen.
