I enjoyed this more than the second book in the series but not nearly as much as I liked the first book. The pacing in this was so uneven and that was my main issue with the book. The start feels like a continuation of book two with the slow pace and the uninteresting plot. Then the main characters are reunited with the other characters from book 1, the story starts to get captivating again and the overarching plot starts to move along. But so much happens in the last half of this and it's so fast-paced that it ended up feeling rushed. So, I did enjoy most of this book especially because I like all the characters and the relationship between them so much, but I couldn't feel completely connected and invested because of the pacing.
