The character's "relationship" was so toxic it's just annoying.
First of all, I HATE fwb, Its just a big no. Also an extra no when they're apparently UHRMMM "bestfrnds" AND continue to have diff partners in future while... being in love... like... UhrMmM ExCusE mE emotionally cheating is also cheating. Okay so I dont mind reading characters with imperfect traits and more real life alike BUT this whole thing was just fcked up in my opinion.
