Been wanting to read this one for quite some time as I’m sure I would love it, but I end up loving it way more than I expected! The main female character, Maomao is so sassy (and can be rather unhinged when it comes to crazy experiments), I find myself adoring her in no time. She’s also very smart and I hope the next volumes will have more of her solving mysteries and making more weird experiments/potions/concoctions/whatever she wants to do <3

As for Jinshi, oh his charm is absolutely intoxicating <3 I love that Maomao looks at him as if he’s the most disgusting bug ever, but this further fuels his interest in her. Their interactions are so amusing, and I look forward to see more of them! I do wonder what Jinshi’s true role in the inner court though. He is just too beautiful to simply be a eunuch (no way he is).

This one is definitely one of my favourite mangas now!
