This was incredible!! So charming, sweet, thoughtful, and actually gave me butterflies listening. The audiobook is great - dual narration, the same man who narrated Daniel in Part of Your World. I felt these two falling in love so vibrantly and viscerally. I listened to this during a hard time, and it was such a gift to be able to smile and feel something beautiful.

I thought Jimenez executed the use of tropes very well. I never like fake dating, but this actually felt realistic! The miscommunication was done well at first, but went on a tad too long, which made the 70% 95% zone feel a little slower than it needed to.
The first and only sex scene was definitely oo la la, but the setting felt inappropriate, as did the lack of communication of contraception.
I’m picky when it comes to third act conflicts, and this one did disappoint me a tad bit.

I very much liked the representation of anxiety, and the representation that anxiety doesn’t have to be a burden to our partners! I liked to see how Jacob felt so calm with her, how her loving and non judgmental presence naturally regulated his nervous system. His anxiety, to me, seemed more akin to somewhere on the autistic spectrum, so I felt curious about that!

Overall, very great book! One of my favorite romances!
