The Tree in the Courtyard: Looking Through Anne Frank's Window by Jeff Gottesfeld
informative

This book is told through a sepia colour palette in which the world is monochromatic. The book is told through the perspective of the Horse chestnut tree outside of Anne Frank’s house. I think that this book may be a good bridging book to learn more about Anne Frank for children, and could serve as a supplementary or introductory book for children re: the holocaust, World War II, and Anne Frank’s life.
CW: holocaust, war, WWII.
