Big Sister, Little Sister, Red Sister: Three Women at the Heart of Twentieth-Century China by Jung Chang

4.0

Not so much a biography of the three sisters, it's really a history of China in the first half of the twentieth century with occasional biographical details about the Soong family (and Sun-Yatsen and Chiang Kai-shek). It's all new for me, so I was okay with that.

It works well as an easy introduction to the era, neither focussed biography nor political history.
