I honestly did a double take when I saw this was a debut novel. This was such a good book. Also: Latina FMC written by a Latina 👏🏼

This is a contemporary crime romance. Ryan, the female main character (FMC), is the arms dealer with Los Muertos Mexican cartel. Gunner, the male main character (MMC), is the sergeant at arms for the Skeletons of Society, a motorcycle club that Ryan is forced to work with. 

Ryan is definitely my book girlfriend of the year. She's loyal to a fault, badass, morally gray (my fave characteristic), and maybe just a tad unhinged. Gunner is covered in tattoos, sexy, and part of a biker club. Oh and he loves that Ryan is a strong, powerful woman and isn't threatened by it.

The chemistry and sexual tension between these two characters is amazing to read. I loved reading all of their interactions. The sex was hot (hello spit kink) and their banter was captivating. In addition to the spice, there was an intriguing plot regarding the criminal underworld in Arizona & the U.S. with clear signs that while this is a debut novel, the author has thought about where she wants this series to go and worked to set it up from book 1. 

On top of having a strong, powerful FMC and sexy as hell MMC, this book has:

- Praise kink
- Great banter
- Touch her and I'll unalive you
