I don't even know what to say about this book. It was disgusting and disturbing on so many levels, as well as degrading. It's a very ''shocking literature'' kind of book, that will have the fine ladies of book clubs clasping at their pearls, which is most of my issue with it. It felt like it was written solely to shock. There was no deeper meaning to it - that I could find, at least that wasn't degrading and judgmental - other than following this woman as her mind deteriorated.

I do appreciate that we're seeing more and more translated books come into the English market, as it allows us to learn and experience things we might not otherwise have thought of, but that's the only good thing I have to say about this book, and it's not even about it!
