Wow, I really enjoyed this story! “Capone” by Jahquel J. follows Erin, a 30-year-old bus driver doing her best to raise her 16-year-old brother after tragically losing their parents a decade ago. Erin is still battling the trauma of witnessing their deaths and the grief that comes with it, all while trying to keep her brother out of the streets.
Fate intervenes when she crosses paths with Capo, the head of the Delgato crime family, not once, not twice, but three times. Capo is rich, powerful, and has built both a legal and illegal empire while his twin brother is serving time. Although Capo can have any woman he wants, something about Erin hooks him, and their connection is undeniable.
This book explores their journey toward love while navigating the external factors that challenge their relationship. The writing is engaging, fast-paced, and left me on the edge of my seat, especially with that major cliffhanger at the end. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
