I have had this book so long that I did forget about it, but I regret not picking this up earlier. This had everything I love. PLUS DRAGONS. I love dragons. I want dragons. Everything about this fed into everything I wanted.
I did think the final battle could have been better. I wish we got to see more of how her dad died, how stupid jansk died. I wanted to read more about the blood, the death, the struggles, the hesitancy of killing the dragons i wanted more of that. I didn't mind but it still felt like something is missing. But a badass woman, who will not hesitate to cut a bitch is what I'm here for, and if I haven't mentioned DRAGONS. like I don't think I need to say anything else.
Also the romance. ugh i love it. Torwin is everything. I love him, i want a torwin in my life. I love everything between their tension and everything. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY FINALLY KISS UGH IT WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED. ALSO WHEN TORWIN WAS CALLING ASHA BEAUTIFUL AND PRETTY AND ALL SUCH THINGS AND SHE DIDN'T BELEIVE HIM I FELT THAT AND IT HURT SO MUCH AND UGH
Overall I did enjoy it, it had an amazing world building which I want more of, it had characters and their internal struggles, it had a romance that i was dying for, and it had dragons.
