meh.
that’s pretty sure how I’ll sum up this entire book 🫠 it was quick, entertaining, but overall, just meh.
I’m a huge ba paris fan, and absolutely loved THE THERAPIST and BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, so this was a hard disappointment for me. the pacing and suspense was so perfect that I was expecting so much more.
a lottttt of different things happened throughout the course of this plot, and I wasn’t convinced of the conclusion that was served as an explanation 🥴
the plot twist wasn’t anything to write home about, and it seriously came out of left field. I would have loved it more if it tied more into all of the little hints and tips that were left like bread crumbs throughout the rest of the book.
nonetheless, it had super quick chapters, dual timeline POVs, and the writing as always was fantastic!
rating: 3 stars
wine pairing: new zealand malbec
