This book showed up at the perfect time for me. I was feeling a whole bunch of things in my life that I was working to unravel and then discovered universal truths in butter. Secrets folded into the dough. Poetry in the spices. Romance in a chocolate. Love in a lemon pie.
I cried. I felt seen. I felt warm and fuzzy even in such grief.
This author is obviously a purple prose girlie and that might not be for everyone but as I was struggling this book helped shed light.
I finally understand the Ashley Poston hype.
