A Man's Place by Annie Ernaux
5.0
Ernaux uses implication and thoughtful chasms between her short, simple sentence structures to leave her reader reeling. There are direct connections to Hemingway and Angelou in her version of autobiographical musings. She quietly and starkly processes her father’s life through the complicated lenses of someone simultaneously very close and very distant.
