This book made me feel like I needed to take a shower everytime I read it. I don't want to accuse Amis of misogyny (and why bother since so many others already have) but his characters are certainly sch woman haters that prolonged exposure leaves one feeling pretty grubby.
This isn't to say that I didn't like the book.
