A charming story about 4 Black friends that uses wash/hair day to mention issues like catcalling, toxic exes, family relationships and mental health stigma. It was heartwarming to see this process experienced by so many Black people represented on paper in such wonderful art!
However, I thought it was a little short. I wanted to know more about the characters and wish their stories were a little more developed. Especially for Davene regarding Cookie's comments, it was a missed opportunity to discuss the subject a little deeper. Overall I loved this graphic novel! I read it as an ebook but definitely want to get a physical copy someday!
