This was a true science fiction story. It really went hard into the sciences, space, aliens and I was here for it, saying this because I don’t think I’ve read a 10% science fiction novel in a long time. I really enjoyed the references to Chinese history especially after just reading about the Cultural Revolution. It was great to have that context. I kind of wanted to read it before watching the TV series and now I have questions about how some of the ideas are going to translate.

I read it on Kindle and all the in text translator notes were really nice.
