Wow. This novel took me places. Our main character, Ada struggles to live with an entity/personality/(god?), Asughara, who was created in a time of need. We delve into Ada's life with Asughara and Saint Vincent, another faceted entity who develops later in Ada's life.
This book touches on many difficult topics (see TWs listed above), and showcases the reality of surviving and living through these challenging situations.
Akwaeke Emezi's writing is lyrical and beautifully descriptive!
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique read that offers a fresh take on mental illness.
