An emotional romance between a traumatised woman and a man who has had his whole life upended when he needs to be there for his family!

Freya Barker has taken mental health issues and perfectly blended it into an emotional romance that was not only enjoyable but also reflective!

While this was definitely not my favourite read from Ms. Barker - mostly cause the chemistry between the MCs seemed honestly too forced - while I am all for opposites attract romance trope, it somehow didn’t actually work for me and it didn’t work for them either. It felt more of a forced proximity relationship rather than a true one!

I loved the writing style, like always -
Ms. Barker never disappoints with her talent; however this time it was her characters that didn’t actually cooperate with her!
