Caleb’s writing was the best of poetry and prose, the best of art and life, the deepest of pains and trauma but also the most relatable experience of Blackness through fiction I’ve read this year. I literally feel different after finishing this book, literally I feel seen (which is both scary and so much of what I yearn for in this moment).
