Lovely genre bending read about a trans runaway violin prodigy and her teacher who made a deal with a demon and an alien who runs a donut shop. Themes of running away & seeking safety, and reconciling difference, struggle and difficulty with love acceptance beauty hope and joy. Some moments require even more suspension of disbelief than others but on the whole I really enjoyed this book.
