adventurous challenging slow-paced

3.0

I wasn’t expecting a spy novel to be so slow but here we are.  Honestly for me while the writing was interesting, and I enjoyed reading this, there were a couple of issues for me.  First, sometimes there were speech marks and sometimes there weren’t when there was dialogue and I just found it annoying.  Second a lot of these people had their regular names and their undercover names but this wasn’t always made clear until later in the book which also made it a strange experience.  The other thing is, the conflict and everything that was going on didn’t make sense til the last 50 pages, and even then, there were a lot of loose threads.
