Smoke and Iron by Rachel Caine

This may be my favorite of the books so far. It delivers a really nice climax to the overarching story, a satisfying conclusion to many major plot events. I also like that this book is the first with different character POVs; I was getting a bit bored of Jess' perspective. So was the author apparently, and while I wasn't thrilled with
how much of Jess' time was him pretending to be Brendan
it worked out fine. I also like how Wolfe and Santi were somewhat sidelined this book, letting the younger generation lead things.

I'm really looking forward to the anticlimax of the fifth book. There's a lot to say still.
