Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters
5.0
How many ways can one gush about a book....all I can say is I loved this, from the very first page - hook, line, sinker. I laughed out loud several times, actually sharing passages I was reading, they were that richly amusing. I wish I could be Miss Peabody!! I have told many throughout the years, that if I would have been born at the turn of the 20th century, I would have been an archeologist/Egyptologist. Since I’m alive now, I guess I’ll just live vicariously through the adventures (20 to be exact) of Miss Amelia Peabody.
If you love female characters with gumption, a quick wit, Ancient Egypt, mysteries, mummies, a little bit of romance, and armchair traveling. Read. This. Book.
