I meant to read this over Valentine's Day but totally forgot. Anyways, here we are and while it was a cute, fast-paced story, it was only mildly entertaining. I love the Plated Prisoner series so I went into this one with high hopes.

The main character, ML or Emelle, is absolutely awful. She doesn't know when to shut up and is incredibly annoying.

Like a lot of other readers/reviewers did, I sadly, found myself skimming a lot just to get to the point of a scene. Some of the chapters lagged and felt like filler.

The three males were interesting, but not engaging enough that I felt that any of them were important.

I might pick the second book up down the road. Maybe.
