4⭐️ so far, the series is staying true to the books. The best feeling is when you can pinpoint where they are, and your imagination is becoming clear with each scenery. There's a lot that's happened in here, yet it flows nicely with each passing adventure. I'm gonna try my best to explain each part. Fair warning, I'm gonna start waffling. Honestly, the amount for things that's happened in 100+ pages is crazy that the author can fit it all in.

On their way to seek the lake of tears, they've encountered a gold eye giant who gives out 3 mind trick questions (more like 1 puzzle and 2 riddles which I would be stupid enough to get them right) in order to cross the bridge. This is where we learn about sorceress Thaegan herself and her children through the riddle. It's helpful in a way that when they continue on to seek the gems, they will be aware of how dangerous her children can be, which they have crossed path with Jin and jod. Any children of hers will always be dangerous.

After they broke the curse of the gold eye giant, the three of them Lief, Barda, and Jasmine carry on to their destination but as they do, they meet Manus who's a Ralad and also cursed by Thaegan where he is unable to speak, not just him but his whole tribe. (He becomes an important part of the story)
