Holy cow did I love this book! A phenomenal courtroom drama, psychological thriller with plenty of twists. And Eddie Flynn is exactly the defense attorney you want going to trial. I adored him. He is a former con artist turned defense lawyer who sees his job to stand in the gap and fight for the wrongfully accused, those everyone else writes off. And because of his background, he is very good at it. Able to see the criminal world in a way others can’t. And it has cost him dearly to do it. In this case he is representing a hot, up and coming actor accused of killing his wife and her lover. All the evidence points to him and that’s exactly what the killer intended. But the killer won’t stop at just murder and planting evidence to frame an innocent man, he will also tip the scales of justice in his favor by placing himself on the jury. And that’s not even remotely the twist! Look, there are some points in this that I thought played fast and loose with certain aspects of courtroom procedure, etc. But nothing super egregious and it all worked together to give a roller coaster of a ride that I never wanted to end. I didn’t realize this was a series so I jumped in on this book, which is #4. I will read them all!
