The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin
5.0
Not quite as excellent as Nobody Knows My Name—perhaps because it's largely one extended essay—but still Baldwin's prose and quality of thought is still peerless here. The story of meeting with Nation of Islam was interesting enough but it doesn't seem like Baldwin quite cracks the subject, or speaks to the frustrations as clearly as he does other elements in the essay.
