Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Please as usual don’t take my opinions to heart and always be cautious when choosing book reviews to read.

I’m so mad that it took me so long to read this. I truly am. But on the other hand, I’m glad that finally finished it.

First, the writing was superb . It was interesting and kept me wanting more. I have really liked and enjoyed how it stuck to the characters nature. It was the main thing that mostly kept me hooked to the book.

Second, the characters were all interesting and different. The fact that they were peculiars kept me even more interested. Although I wish I had known more of their past and how they got their abilities. But that’s okay, I loved each and every one of their personalities and how just overall learning how they react to certain things just amazed me.

Third, I’m not going to lie in the beginning when I started reading this. The plot was slow and it took me a bit to get into it. But once I did..oh boy you better believed that I loved the plot. Now I get why it was slow, to not reveal too much and yet still pulling you in enough to want more.

One thing , I would have liked to give this book 5 stars but the romance that was in this book . Just ruined it for me. Personally, I felt like it was totally unnecessary and could have been taken out overall. But then again I’m not a huge fan of romance in the first place so that just ruined it for me .

Last, the main thing that I loved in this story was the pictures. They were so interesting and kept intrigued in the story. I just loved how they tied to the story. I would love to read more books with pictures in them like this.

But I definitely hope to continue to read this book series in the future.
