Compact Horror Stories: Chilling Flash Fiction Collection by Niklas Alparós-Lilah
1.0
The author needs more practice
I don't doubt he had fun noodling around with creepy ideas or scenes, but i didn't find one actual STORY in this book. They are all tiny snapshots from what, in many cases, could be interesting tales. Unfortunately, the author set out to keep his work as short as possible and sacrificed all semblance of quality storytelling to make it happen.
TO THE AUTHOR: It really feels like listening to you spitballing concepts outloud. And then, when I snap my fingers and say, "yeah, that's interesting, write about that," you're like, "I just did."
And, for the love of God, Google "show don't tell" and evolve accordingly.
