✅️ safe
✅️ *takes the biggest sigh* I tried really hard to get into this world building, the magic element but it's just confusing me and when I try to give this thing ago a while back, I couldn't care less✅️
✅️Before I get into this review, I tried SO MANY TIMES TO READ THIS BUT I COULDN'T. For starters I read it in the format of an ebook, couldn't get past the first chapter, and when I did get to chapter 3, I forgot what was happening. so I left it. Maybe it was my slump. Many months later, in 2023, I FINALLY can read the physical copy from the library. My thought process was, "Okay, I read better when I have the copy in my hand. I can fly through this. Maybe that was the solution........." yeah nah it wasn't. Manage to get to chapter 7 before returning it back. Every time I look at this chapter, I don't give two shits about this character as a child. So my last resource was audiobook while I followed along via ebook......again. AND ALHAMDULILLAH I FINISH IT✅️
✅️I didn't enjoy part one. I was just lost and was waiting for it to get good. This is one of the reasons why I rated it at 2.5. It took me forever to get into it, and when part two came around, it started to get interesting. Part three was alright. It's where we finally get answers about this whole thing. I thought about DNF it, and I know the saying "we shouldn't waste time reading books we hate," but I had hopes it would get good. Is it the fact it's Dark Academia, and that's how it's supposed to be? Probably. This is my first, and it makes me not want to pick up another with that pacing. Granted, I did find this at the bookstore, and the description peeked my interest. It wasn't in the spotlight of popular, so I gave it a chance, and now I have a like hate relationship with it.✅️
✅️I soulfully believe that Colton has been put on earth to give people migraines. Let me explain. For starters, yes, he vow to never speak about the "club"(felt like a cult) to anyone and got specific orders to not tell Delaney the truth, but the way he dodges the questions and responds with another question is getting irritating. Like, sir, I can lie better than that. At the end of the day, no matter what he does, she'll always go back to him.
⛔️minor spoiler⛔️
⛔️Dude murdered someone, and it only took a day or something for her to trust him again. So that's the least of your worry.⛔️
✅️I kind of do like him. He is trying to help and protect Delaney from literally everything. Wherever they go. But the way he acts is just sketchy. It's making it hard to love him fully, so I give it a 50/50 of potential book boyfriend.✅️
⛔️ another spoiler. This ISN'T minor⛔️
⛔️This is why you don't walk into your professor house right after trespassing and stealing something, and one's who secretly knows what type of underwear you have
