Sad it took me so long to pick this up, but it was exactly what I needed to read right now. For some reason I had thought this book would go in an entirely different direction,

creature feature horror

or maybe I’m just confusing it with another book. The family aspect was heart wrenching and getting the snippets of past life was such an incredible insight on Cooper’s character. The last 100 pages were some of the strongest emotions I’ve ever felt reading, I was gasping for air. Incredible writing, this book will stay with me for a very long time.
