This book was phenomenal. I hate that I loved a book about five teens learning how to love themselves again, find home, and get out of the life of turning tricks, but their stories are real. Their emotions are real and so are the feelings I get when I read them.

The best part of Ellen Hopkins' books, for me, is I can always relate to every character in some way and this book is no different.

It scares me how many kids (yes, kids) go through what the five main characters plus all of the side characters when they are barely old enough to get a learners permit.

This book is all about love, family, finding yourself, finding strength, and realizing change will only happen when you want it to happen.

As walks the book is written in beautiful verse and has unique poems inside of it. And again as always, EH does not hide the truth even though it's ugly.
