The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer
5.0
The Lost Story is probably going to end up being my favorite book of the year. West by God Virginia did I love it!
This book is a fairytale written for adults. There's magic (of course), a queen and a lost princess, intelligent helpful animals, a dark and dangerous city, and true love.
I truly didn't know what to expect when I started this book. I had picked it as a Book of the Month selection based on this quick take: " Let this fairytale for adults filled with unicorns and hidden kingdoms enchant you with a fable about second chances. "
Found family and romance are big themes through out the story. I just loved the love story between these two characters (I won't say which so I don't spoil the surprise).
I also really loved Emily's character -- she's sweet and funny and just all around perfect. Boop!
Ok and I also really loved that Fleetwood Mac is basically the soundtrack to this book.
