Spookily Yours is the perfect seasonal read. Willow is just a witch adopting a new cat, except that cat turns out to be a shifting demon named Damien stuck in his cat form. As a huge Halloween lover and black cat owner, this novella was exactly what I wanted to read this month.

I particularly enjoyed the pacing. Novellas can be tricky, but Spookily Yours spaced all the major events out really well for me. I felt like I spent a good amount of time with Willow and Damien through each phase of their relationship, from the initial meeting to the realizations that come with soulmates.

Honestly, everything about this novella had me giggling and happy. It was so fun to see Willow get just as excited about fall festivals as I do and to watch her drag Damien through it, much like how I drag my partner to them. As a candy corn fan, Damien’s reaction to the candy was perfect.
