Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling
5.0
Re-read as an audiobook (December 30th 2020)
I still believe this story is amazing and it is a whole different experience to have the audio instead of reading the written words.
Love, love, love ❤️

5* duh!!
I had read this book a long time ago, I don't remember if the first move was even out yet. And the book was in French. I don't know why I waited so long before picking this up and read again. I mean, I have watched and enjoyed the movie so many times since then.
They always say move adaptations are different than the book and I cannot agree more even though it follows quite well but they left out soooooo many things from this (as I'm sure the same happens in all of the other books), it's almost as if I am reading something else entirely... just the names and places are the same. Know what I mean?
The experience of reading it in English this time was really fun. It's like discovering a series for the first time. It was really fun. And, from memory, much much much better, too.
This review is starting to be long already and I haven't exactly reviewed it, have I? No matter... what is there to say that haven't been said over and over and over again before?? I LOVED this so much. It's a very easy read and it wouldn't have taken me the time it took if I hadn't had work and other things to do (priorities, you know?) but I did manage to find a PDF file online Friday and started reading from where I left up and managed to read 6 chapters during my shift... it's not nothing. The book is so short compared to the last ones it's crazy.
These books and the movies are ageless and a major fun time be you 12 or 40 or even 68 years old. They are a must for everyone who loves magic, fantasy, supernatural worlds, ...
