The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

2.0

This book was a CHORE to read each night. The neuroses and issues of the various narrators was difficult to slog through. It reminds me a LOT of Gone Girl. I honestly regretted finishing that book, so when my husband encouraged me to just give up (after a difficult night getting to sleep after one passage about halfway through), I happily chucked it. I feel bad, because it's a Book Group book, but this is just not for me.

If you liked Gone Girl (and I don't get it, but a lot of people did), you will like this one. The changing narrators, the unreliability of the narrators, the difficult issues, etc - all very similar without being derivative. I hated them both. Just not my thing.
