I was lucky enough to find a copy of these novels which included another story called "The Blessing". All three are loosely linked in time and space, with a few familiar names popping up in each. I think they work really well together (and should be read consecutively) so you get the full back story to the characters. And they are an odd, twisted bunch of characters too, most aren't particularly likeable, but they are decidedly entertaining, and not your typical "English country house drama" set at all! (Or perhaps they are, and Nancy is just a lot more open about the goings-on behind closed doors!) Good fun.
