Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
5.0
While on a roadtrip with her grandparents, Sal tells the story of her crazy best friend, Phoebe Winterbottom. Phoebe’s story has many similarities to Sal’s own experiences with her mother leaving her. Through telling the story and her adventures with her grandparents, Sal deals with her grief about her mother’s death.
This is one of my favorite books. There are many life lessons in the compelling story. Basically my favorite book in elementary school. It changed my philosophy on life The book was a bit like a fun puzzle because it was not told entirely in chronological order. It can be very sad but a very worthwhile read.
