The Madness of Crowds: Gender, Race and Identity by Douglas Murray

I didn't get too far in before stopping. It started off well, talking about the collapse of "grand narratives", and how it is almost inevitable that new narratives would spring up to fill that void. It would have been nice if this book had addresses both right wing and left wing ideologies. But no, seems like criticism is reserved for "social justice". Nothing about right conspiracy theories and extremism? Those seem like just a good examples of "madness of crowds". And they actually kill people. Maybe those are covered later. But what really turned me off and made me stop what the cherry picking of headlines and articles from newspapers as being "representative", in order to elicit outrage. Really? So lowbrow.
