On These Wicked Shores by Katherine Quinn
5.0
Set off on a new, darker, adventure with Margrete and Bash….
While the story begins in Azantian, we don’t stay there long. Margrete and Bash set off to try to right the wrongs done at the end of book one (The Girl Who Belonged to the Sea) but things take a turn…. fast.
Margrete and crew must complete three tasks, one for each coin they find on the island they shipwrecked upon. Complete each task and move onto the next, but if you fail? Death awaits.
Everyone has secrets and some are bigger than others…
I am still reeling from this story. Just when you think you have it figured out? Surprise! You’re wrong. Twists and turns around every corner, mystery, suspense, love, heartbreak, On These Wicked Shores has it all. Katherine Quinn outdid herself.
THE ENDING?! Ma’am. I am not okay. We don’t spoil endings here, but I can tell you it left me wanting more. This is one of those stories where you close the book then open it back up to see if there are pages you missed because there’s no one she did THAT and went into the prologue. In an utterly heart-wrenching, but good, way.
If you love SJM or JLA, PICK UP KATHERINE QUINN. The book description itself states for fans of The Hunger Games, as well, and I definitely can attest to that. The coins, the island, and the danger that lurks around every corner aren’t for the faint of heart…
