This was a great darker spicy rom-com! I’ve seen it compared to butcher and blackbird and it has a lot of the same things I loved in that book; excellent banner, slightly ridiculous, and even though some parts had heavier elements it never felt like too much. The spice was much better imo but a heads up that it is spice heavy, enjoyably so, but if that isn’t your thing you might have to jump ahead here and there. I LOVED the narrator for Josh with the audiobook and am really glad I went back and forth between the audiobook and physical copy, he really brought the character to life! There were a few cringy moments, as in all romance books, but I really enjoyed it!  Also, loved that he referred to her cat as their child from the get go.
