I liked many parts of this book. Easy to read. Setting things up. The highlight of artist through history, really tickled at my art history heart.
As a Deaf person myself, I was excited for the inclusion of Deaf culture. Ultimately. I’m disappointed in the representation. It’s still full of a lot of harmful stereotypical wording that hearing people tend to lean on. Especially for something within romance. I say it again and again. It is not romantic that a deaf person felt the need to use their voice to convey some sort of message. And as it was stated the Mc was learning asl. But still blabbered away with the “oh rainbow can read lips it’s totally fine” mentality. (All of them did, but whatever).
I enjoyed the story to a point. I will be looking at other works by this author.
