The Pianist: The Extraordinary Story of One Man's Survival in Warsaw, 1939–45 by Władysław Szpilman

2.0

At the time that I chose to read this, I did so because it seemed like a quick read. It dragged and dragged so much for me that it took me MONTHS to force myself to read it. It IS a remarkable story but the first three quarters of the book just seemed redundant. I will say that the last four chapters were exciting to read.
