I found the characters insufferable and also very shallowly crafted at the same time. They seemed like ideas instead of people. The author also liked to co-opt various social justice topics without seeming to have any understanding of them beyond surface level (as if anyone would accuse visibly asian game makers of cultural appropriation!), which broke my immersion multiple times in the hundred-ish pages I read. DNF, no idea how this is so popular.
