I liked the story and I do really love the Roshar stories, but Lift and I don’t gel. I know she’s a beloved character, but a preteen’s POV just doesn’t appeal to me. Referring to her powers as “awesomeness” annoyed me every time. And as someone who reads a lot of fantasy romance, “made herself slick” aggressively jarred me out of the story every time. Yikes.
